Mukava taso
Jokainen prosessi kulkee tietyllä prioriteetillä, jota kutsutaan mukavaksi tasoksi. Korkean prioriteetin prosessi saa enemmän CPU-aikaa kuin alhaisemman prioriteetin prosessorit, ja näyttää siltä toimivan nopeammin. Mukava tason muuttaminen on todella järkevää suoritinprosessoiville prosesseille, koska suurin osa ohjelmista viettää melkein kaiken aikansa odottamalla jotain (kuten käyttäjän syöttämää), joten niistä ei ole hyötyä tai kärsiä, jos niiden prioriteetit muuttuvat.
